WASHINGTON, DC – May 25-27 2010-Executive Director John Hunter and General Manager Hunter Goosmann participated in the TVC’s 2010 National Technology Summit in Washington, D.C. This is an economic development partnership that promotes the Tennessee Valley Corridor (Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia) as a premier center for science and technology and leveraging the regional assets to maximize job creation. The agenda highlighted specific assets including the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, University of Tennessee, the City of Chattanooga, Huntsville AL, and more but also programs related to energy innovation, workforce development and education, advanced transportation and space, and homeland security. http://www.tennvalleycorridor.org/summits/2010SummitAgenda.html This meeting also allowed ERCB to spend some quality time with our legislative representation in Washington.
